Barbie Blank's Baby Shower

Oh honey, the Coba babies are on the way!

Plates by Lisa catered the most beautiful event of the summer, the baby shower of mother-to-be, Barbie Blank. The former WWE star, and her husband Joe Coba, are expecting not just one baby, but TWO little honeybees.

The fabulous hostess, Jess Clausen + Barbie’s hive of loved ones showered Barbie with a party that had everyone buzzing. The star studded event + Plates by Lisa was even featured in People Magazine!

The space was transformed and designed by Partners in Crafting into a garden of love to celebrate motherhood and the preciousness of new life. The breathtaking home, overlooking Calabasas, was decorated with delicate florals and large yellow + white floral displays. The large floral wall + luxurious velvet furniture was perfect for queen bee Barbie + her guests to feel like the royalty they are!

The stunning mama-two-bee lit up the event and was truly radiating the entire day.

As guests arrived they were greeted by the Plates by Lisa team, who offered delicious appetizers to kick off the party. Chef Lisa sweetened every platter Bee-autifully! Each dish featured a honeybee accessory from grilled cheese served on adorable wooden honeycomb sticks, to menus in the shape of honeycombs.

After grabbing a cocktail by Thomas Ashbourne at the Liquid Courage bar, and nibbling on the Graze Me Away charcuterie board, guests headed to the onesie station by Rachel Miriam. Everyone was able to personalize onesies with special messages for the twins. Our personal fav were the “My mommy feeds me Plates by Lisa,” onesies designed for Baby Coba.

While everyone mingled and showered Barbie with love, live acoustic music stylings by Sabrina Lentini filled the garden. The Plates by Lisa team continued to pass an array of delicious small bites. With guests requesting seconds, Plates by Lisa always made sure Barbie, Joe + guests were never left without an opportunity to nourish themselves with a small bite.

The activities at the baby shower were abundant with a tattoo station by Chapter Two Tattoos, Everyday Magic psychic readings and refreshing Acai Bowls by Acaiholic. To make the afternoon even sweeter, guests also enjoyed cake from Belladonna Sweets.

It was a wonderful day celebrating a beautiful Queen bee + her growing hive. Plates by Lisa can’t wait to continue celebrating more life moments with the Coba family for years to come.
